Vietnam logs another 8,766 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday while an additional 4,806 patients recovered from the disease, the Ministry of Health reported. A woman in Vietnam’s highland province of Lam Dong has been detained and prosecuted for deliberately spreading Covid-19 to other people. The local police on August 9 prosecuted 46-year-old Vu Thi Thao after she recovered from Covid-19 and was discharged from hospital. Vietnam records further 8,385 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, a decrease of 938 cases compared to the previous day, Health Ministry reported. Among the new cases, HCMC confirms the highest number with 3,956 cases, followed by southern Binh Duong Province with 1,325, Long An with 890 cases and Dong Nai with 732 cases.
