BEIJING, January 2, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — The Xinhua-Yushu wild Cordyceps Sinensis price index was officially released on December 27 in Beijingcapital of Chinaindicating the accelerated development of wild cordyceps sinensis industry to a new stage of digital, informational and modern mode.
The compilation of the index was jointly carried out by the People’s Government of Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Qinghai ProvinceTHE Qinghai branch of the Xinhua News Agency and the China Economic Information Service (CEIS). As soon as the index is officially released, the construction of big data on the entire industrial chain of Cordyceps sinensis will also be launched.
Cordyceps sinensis, a type of mushroom believed to strengthen the immune system, is a premium Chinese herbal medicine produced primarily in China. ChinaYushu Prefecture, Sanjiangyuan Region, northwest China Qinghai Provinceknown as the “hometown of Cordyceps sinensis”, is the main production area of high-quality wild Cordyceps sinensis.
Wild cordyceps sinensis is one of the most representative traditional Chinese and Tibetan medicines in Yushu, and also an important source of disposable income for permanent residents in rural pastoral areas of the state, said Nyima TseringDeputy Governor of the People’s Government of Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province.
The release of the index will provide a solid information basis for the construction of the standardization of the wild cordyceps sinensis industry in Yushu, which is expected to boost the overall development of other local industries and increase local income.
According to Cao Wenzhong, chairman of CEIS, the index will focus on standard setting, brand building, cultural improvement, discourse construction and other aspects, and gradually build an index system integrating data monitoring, industry analysis and brand communications.
