Vietnam’s rice exports between January and August are expected to have increased by about 23% from a year earlier, to 5.9 million tonnes, according to government data released on Tuesday.
Rice export revenue over the period is expected to rise 37.3% to $3.2 billion.
Vietnam’s rice exports in August, one of the world’s top grain exporters, were estimated at one million tonnes, worth $582 million.
