Vietnam continues to confirm its position as an important link in the global supply chain. This is the view of many international newspapers last week.
Especially with the current fluctuations of the global economy, the need to diversify the global supply chain is very urgent, its effectiveness in disease control and economic recovery ensures that Vietnam is still chosen as an attractive destination.
Financial Market World Newspaper – Finanzmarktwelt Germany used the word “boom” to emphasize the resilience of the Vietnamese economy when it comes to manufacturing, foreign trade and domestic tourism. The article stated that many international companies want to move their supply chains to Vietnam.
Titled “More supply chain leaders are looking to Southeast Asia for manufacturing alternatives”, the article on SupplyChainDive website published on May 2 confirms that Vietnam is one of the priorities for manufacturers to diversify their supply chains due to the recent price and shipping time restrictions.
“I think the pre-epidemic trend is to move and restart business activities and supply chains to Vietnam. Vietnam is one of the leading countries in Southeast Asia in the process of reopening after COVID-19,” said Mr. Vu Tu Thanh, deputy director of the US-ASEAN Business Council.
Russia Sputnik Vietnamese newspaper published an article last week titled: “Vietnam – the world’s smartphone-producing powerhouse”. The article quoted Counterpoint Research’s statistics, the number of “Made in Vietnam” smartphones accounted for nearly 17% of global consumption.
Currently, Vietnam has become Samsung’s largest phone manufacturing center, producing 60% of the total number of phones sold worldwide by this brand.
