According to the Ministry of Health, the number of new COVID-19 cases per day in our country is still high, Vietnam has registered the Omicron mutation in the community, but the vaccination rate against COVID-19 in our country has decreased. reached a high level (as one of the countries with the highest vaccination coverage in the world), the number of serious cases and deaths from COVID-19 is still well controlled.

Continuing to implement the Government’s Resolution No. 128/NQ-CP on Temporary Regulations “Securely Adapt, Flexibly and Effectively Control the COVID-19 Epidemic”, Ministry of Health (Standing Body of the Steering Committee) National Prevention of COVID-19 epidemics and control) guides the implementation of COVID-19 prevention and control measures for people entering Vietnam as follows:

For people arriving by plane: must have a negative test result for SARS-CoV-2 (except for children under 2 years of age) within 72 hours when using RT-PCR/RT method -LAMP or within 24 hours when using the rapid antigen test method for SARS-CoV – prior to travel – 2 virus is used and certified by the competent authority of the country conducting the test.

For people entering by other routes (land, water, rail): There must be the same test as for entry by air.

If there is no negative test result for SARS-CoV-2 as specified above, a SARS-CoV-2 test (by RT-PCR/RT-LAMP method or RT-PCR/RT – LAMP method). rapid antigen test for SARS-CoV-2 virus) since entry.

The Ministry of Health officially states that people entering the country do not need to be tested and do not isolate themselves

If the test results are negative, they are allowed to leave the accommodation and take preventive measures against the epidemic according to the regulations.

If the test result is positive, it should be reported immediately to the local health authority for prompt handling instructions.

Children under the age of 2 who do not need to be tested for SARS-CoV-2, have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 or have never been infected with SARS-CoV-2 are allowed to enter and participate in activities outside their accommodation. with parents and relatives.

People on entry are required to make a medical statement before entering and using the Medical Statement Application (PC-COVID) during their stay in Vietnam according to regulations.

At the border gate if you have symptoms of SARS-CoV-2 infection (fever; cough; sore throat; runny nose, stuffy nose; body aches, tiredness, chills; decreased or loss of taste; decreased or loss of sense of smell; pain); , headache; diarrhea; difficulty breathing; respiratory infection…) immediately notify the health service at the border gate to take medical measures as prescribed.

Within 10 days from the date of entry: check your health yourself if you have symptoms of SARS-CoV-2 infection (fever; cough; sore throat; runny nose, stuffy nose; body aches, tiredness, chills; decreased or lost taste; decreased or lost sense of smell; pain , headache, diarrhoea, breathing difficulties, inflammation of the airways…) should immediately contact the nearest medical facility for instructions. , timely management;

Take preventive measures: wear masks regularly, disinfect hands with quick hand disinfection;

For those who did not test negative for SARS-CoV-2 before leaving the country : during the process of moving the entrance boundary to the residence, stopping and parking on the way; Avoid close contact with people nearby.
