The six selected companies are invited to share their precious experiences acquired by participating in the “Future Animation” program, as well as in the challenges and achievements encountered in the process of applying the animation production assisted by the AI. The “Future Animation” program aims to provide full support for the six selected local animation companies, helping the local animation industry to seek breakthroughs and innovations in creation, while exploring the potential of AI to support animation production and improving local industry capacities in the creation of animation and the application of AI technology. At the same time, it helps local original activities to develop in local and abroad markets, creating more commercial opportunities.

Based on the exceptional achievements of last year’s program, the response to 2^ND The “Future Animation” program has been enthusiastic, receiving more than 30 applications. The jury committee has conducted rigorous assessments and interviews based on creativity and originality of project proposals, design and artistic quality, narrative capacity / visual impact, as well as business history, the ability to complete works, technical capacity in the application of AI and commitment to the program, in the end of the selection of six local companies and their work for funding:

1. A maximum subsidy of $ 850,000 HK to create an animation assisted by AI of 15 to 20 minutes;
2. Receive technical advice for animation production provided by industry experts for free;
3. Two trainees allocated free of charge to help produce entertainment using AI, and trainees’ salaries were paid by the “Future Animation” program;
4. Free participation in the Hong Kong pavilion at the Annecy Annecy 2025 and Mifa animated film festival;
