GOTHENBURG, Sweden, October 4, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — SKF inaugurated its new factory in Monterrey, Mexicoan investment in a new factory totaling 700 million Swedish crowns. This will support SKF’s strategic development in the Americas and meet customer needs as there is an increasing focus on electrification. These investments also represent an important step in the ongoing repositioning of SKF’s automotive portfolio towards the electric vehicle powertrain and commercial vehicle segments.
In the fourth SKF factory in Mexicodeep groove ball bearings (DGBB) will be developed and manufactured for North American automobile manufacturers, as well as tapered roller bearings (TRB) for industrial customers, for example in the agricultural market, and for applications in commercial vehicles.
