Lime juice with honey is good for the digestive system, helps cool the body and aids in detoxification. Should you drink it instead of water when you wake up? (May 22, Quang Nam)
Drinking water in the morning is a good habit because it helps quench thirst and refresh our body. It is also easily accessible and simple to prepare.
Meanwhile, lime juice, which requires more time to prepare, is rich in vitamins and minerals and low in calories, so it helps improve our skin condition and control our weight.
Either drink is good for health, so you can choose based on your taste preferences and the time you have.

However, it should be borne in mind that water is safe for everyone, while honey and lime juice are acidic. For this reason, you should not constantly drink lime juice for a long time or completely replace water with it, and people suffering from gastric problems are advised to drink lime juice only after meal.
Honey also contains a large amount of sugar. According to the Vietnamese food composition table, 100 grams of honey is composed of 81.3 grams of sugar. It can be quickly absorbed by the body, so drinking lime juice and honey can suddenly raise blood sugar levels and then drop, causing feelings of hunger.
It is therefore advisable to take only 5 ml of honey per day.
Raw honey is also better than its processed counterparts.
