Social media giant Meta wants to expand its investments in Vietnam, particularly in the manufacturing of metaverse equipment.

Chinh said that in recent dialogues, Vietnamese and US leaders reaffirmed their partnerships in science, technology and innovation.
He said the contribution of American companies, including Meta, plays an important role in realizing the potentials of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, the highest level of diplomatic relations that the two countries established this month.
He hopes Meta will become more effective and substantive in its partnership with Vietnamese businesses, especially in key areas such as digital economy, AI, digital content, innovation and transformation.
He hopes that Meta will continue to provide technological solutions to Vietnamese enterprises and cooperate financially to develop science and technology and promote digital transformation.
Chinh also suggested increased cooperation in training, cybersecurity and dissemination of correct information on social media.
