HONG KONG and SHENZHEN, China, September 21, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — DMCC, the world’s flagship free zone and the Dubai Government’s commodity trading and corporate authority, has successfully concluded its roadshow for Shenzhen And Hong Kongfurther strengthening the long-standing bilateral relations with China and explore new opportunities for economic cooperation, trade and foreign direct investment.
During the visit, DMCC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Hong Kong-Middle East Business Chamber Limited (HKME) to promote innovation and bilateral trade. The agreement will see the two entities collaborate on the exchange of market best practices, transfer of knowledge and professional expertise, as well as the provision of commercial and logistical support. In turn, this will support the goals of the Belt and Road Initiative, strengthening economic cooperation among countries along the proposed Belt and Road route.

He also participated in a panel discussion at Jewelery & Gem World Hong Kong (JGW), one of the world’s most important jewelry events, titled “From Rough To Brilliant: Charting A Course For An Exciting Future”, during from which he shared his thoughts on that of Dubai its journey to becoming one of the world’s leading diamond trading centers.
The visit also saw the DMCC release a special edition of its thought leadership report on the future of the trade, focused on synthetic diamonds (LGD), titled “Coming of Age – The Future of Lab Grown Diamonds”. The report examines the dynamics that have driven the meteoric rise of the LGD market segment in recent years. The release of the LGD-focused report follows the successful inauguration of the LGD symposium organized by DMCC in July 2023.
This roadshow series marks the second visit to China this year, following the Made for Trade China traveling tour through the commercial and commercial hubs of Shanghai, Canton And Chongqing In June 2023.
