TAIPEI, December 11, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — The Digital Prosperity Coalition for Asia (DPA) launched its chapter in Taiwan in Taipei Today. The DPA is the Asia-Pacific (APAC), the premier alliance of local digital businesses and aims to promote the democratization of digital technologies, create opportunities for APAC businesses to expand into new markets, and enable the adoption of emerging technologies.
The DPA launch event at Taipei represents the start of its operations in Taiwan. At the event, the DPA highlighted its commitment to supporting Taiwanese digital companies as they seek to enter new markets and access emerging technologies and build their capabilities. that of Taiwan digital ecosystem by fostering productive dialogue between digital businesses and regional governments.
As part of DPA’s mission to support the growth of APAC’s digital economy by promoting robust and enabling public policies, DPA hosted two roundtable discussions that featured representatives and academics from Singapore And Taiwan, alongside various promising Asian technology companies. Panelists included Director Lin Ching-chin of “that of Taiwan Ministry of Digital Affairs (MoDA)“, Mr. Lei Shee Dog “that of Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs“M Koo Meng Seng of AI Singapore, Associate Professor Kang Meng Chow of the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and key executives of growing digital companies like Gogolook (Taiwan), Fast work (India), Kinobi (Singapore) and Accredit (Singapore).
In his opening speech, Mr. Benjamin WongFounder and CEO of Kinobi, and Director of DPA, expressed his enthusiasm for this new chapter of DPA’s operations, saying: “DPA has built strong ties with many Taiwanese digital companies and is eager to find new ways to help them develop their presence in other Asia Pacific savings and adapt to our region’s evolving regulatory environment.”
Speaking on a panel on the development and deployment of AI in Taiwan, M Lin Ching-Chin, Director of the Platform Economy Division of the Digital Industry Administration of the Ministry of Digital Affairs highlighted the importance of enabling SMEs to innovate and transform their businesses through new digital technologies, saying : “In addition to helping startups innovate through the use of artificial intelligence, our role is also to provide them with the tools and coaching they need to innovate, such as through the T-Ambassador program , and to enable the partnerships they need to develop and expand abroad.
