The woman, identified as Guan Yue, was arrested during a job interview she attended, the South China Morning Post Tuesday.
One of Guan’s ruses was to apply for jobs and participate in interviews when she had already held many job titles at other companies, so that she could take photos there and then send these images to the companies where she worked, claiming that the photos were from meetings with clients. .
The scammer apparently never refused the job offers that came to him.
Malaysia The sun every day said the police investigation revealed that Guan and her husband were offering job opportunities to their peers when they were too busy managing the jobs they already had.
The fraud lasted for three years before one of Guan’s employers began to suspect something was wrong while looking through the documents and reported the matter to the police, according to reports.
The investigation also revealed that at least 51 other people were involved in Guan’s salary scam, with the amount of money involved in the case exceeding 50 million yuan (about $7 million). News18 reported.
Within three years, Guan and her husband had earned enough money to buy a villa in Shanghai.
