Whiskey Live Singapore 2023 offers a platform on board the Singapore Flyer
SINGAPORE, November 20, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Single malt Scotch whiskey producer Benromach hosted historic and inaugural whiskey masterclasses on board the Singapore Flyer on Saturday and Sunday, as part of the 12th edition of Whiskey Live Singapore.
Benromach – a Scottish whiskey distillery owned and operated by family business Gordon & MacPhail – hosted a series of eight private masterclasses, hosting a total of 120 selected participants in a capsule on the Singapore Flyer.
Whiskey Live Singapore, organized by La Maison du Whiskey (LMDW) APAC, took advantage of its new venue at the Singapore Flyer to engage Singaporeans and other visitors to the region with a new showcase activation.
Leading the masterclasses on board each revolution of the Singapore Flyer was Richard Travers-Griffindirector of commercial projects (APAC) for Gordon & MacPhail.

Travers-Griffin led each capsule masterclass through five Benromach expressions. The main Benromach expressions of 10 years, 15 years and 21 years of age were available for tasting, as well as a single cask bottled exclusively for Singapore and LMDW.
Guiding each capsule masterclass, Travers-Griffin took each group of 15 guests through a tasting journey featuring four distinct expressions of Benromach. Emphasizing a meticulous and hands-on approach, every step of the Benromach process is carried out manually and the whiskey matures exclusively in first-fill oak barrels.
