Doan Hai My said she was delighted with the proposal from her footballer boyfriend Doan Van Hau.

According to My, she thought it was a normal date when Hau took her out on Sunday night. To her surprise, she discovered upon their arrival that the place Hau had brought her was decorated with flowers, and Hau immediately got down on one knee, took out a ring, and proposed to her.
“I felt really happy,” she said. “I didn’t even hesitate to accept his proposal, because I thought it was the right time for us.”
She also added that she and Hau were planning to hold their engagement ceremony soon, while their wedding ceremony was scheduled to take place early next year.
A close friend of the two revealed that Hau started planning her proposal a week before the date and asked a few friends to help with the decorations.
Hau, 24, gained popularity after becoming a regular starter for the national football team and winning a SEA Games gold medal with the team in 2018.
He and My, 22, met through mutual connections. A few months after My participated in the Miss Vietnam 2020 pageant and made it to the top 10, they started dating.
The couple went public with their relationship in 2022. Hau was seen joining My’s family on various trips, while My was seen supporting Hau during several of his matches.
